About us
With its versatile range of products, EPOCH Traumwiesen aims to bring smiles to both children and adults. The local distribution company, headquartered in Nuremberg, was founded in 2011 and is responsible for marketing and distributing EPOCH toys in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The Managing Director is Kim Benjamin Franke.
The parent company, EPOCH Co., Ltd., was established in 1958 by Taketora Maeda in Tokyo, Japan, and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2018. This family-run business, led by Michihiro Maeda, places great importance on tradition and values. In Japan, EPOCH is ranked among the top three toy manufacturers. Globally, it has successfully introduced iconic evergreen products in over 60 countries.
Among its best-known products is Sylvanian Families, a delightful toy series for children aged 3 and up. These adorable collectible figures and imaginative playsets have been captivating families worldwide for decades and are distributed by EPOCH Traumwiesen. The range is complemented by the creative craft toy Aquabeads suitable for children aged 4 and above. These colourful crafting beads bond with just a spray of water—no glue required.
Since 2021, EPOCH Traumwiesen has expanded its portfolio to include a selection of the popular Super Mario™ board games. These games are loved by both children and adults, while the detailed game pieces invite collectors to combine and enjoy them across the various games in the series.
In 2024, the EPOCH Games portfolio is further enriched with two exciting new Universal licensing partnerships: five thrilling board games featuring the mischievous Minions and action-packed board games based on the popular Jurassic World franchise are launched – a true highlight for fans of all ages.
